The police chief confirmed that one person was killed in a shooting at the Super Bowl rally

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves confirmed at least one person was killed in a shooting at the end of the celebration after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

Graves said the shooting happened on the west side of Union Station. When officers got there, they took two people into custody and immediately started helping the injured.

Officials don’t know exactly how many people were injured, but “it could be as high as 10 to 15,” Graves said. She said she did not have any further information on the condition of the victims.

She said she did not believe any of the dead were children..

The police chief said, “I am outraged by what happened today. People who come to this festival should expect a safe environment.”
