The United States leads 4-1 on Day 2 of the 2022 Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow Golf Club. The United States looked at home in Charlotte, and the Americans seemed primed to win a 12th Presidents Cup if everything went according to plan. After adding to their four-ball advantage on Thursday, they now turn their attention to the four-ball, where the American team has been heading against the international team since 2007.

The Internationals squad is fielding Adam Scott first, although the oldest member of the away team is struggling hard on Day 1 with Hideki Matsuyama. Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth. A total of five four-ball matches will be contested as Trevor Immelman’s team tries to get back into contention.

As the US showed at Royal Melbourne in 2019, falling behind by three points at the start of the tournament is not something an away team can afford. In Australia, the United States won the same 4-1 first period to lift the Presidents Cup with a 16-14 victory over the weekend. While the chances of the international team repeating this feat are slim, the possibility of a move to the second day of the event remains.
