Fighting game fans have been asking for this for years now, and the day is finally here.
Instead of the new Guilty Gear Strive character, Arc System Works has announced that the redemption network code will be coming to Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. May 2022.
No, you are not dreaming. Xrd’s nearly decade-long latency-based netplay will soon be replaced, so hopefully you won’t have to worry about latency and dropped combos anymore.
There is currently no hard release date set for Xrd to receive the full rollback update, but players will be taking it for a test drive soon.
The developers will launch a public test of the rollback for PC in late October, similar to how they beta-tested previous games, but it’s not confirmed if the big patch will make its way to REV2 and the PlayStation 4 version of Revelator. .
ArcSys certainly achieves its goal of updating old fighting games with better online play with Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Dragon Ball FighterZ. their improvements or are currently in the process of doing so.
Unfortunately, this leaves Granblue Fantasy: Versus as the only one, but hopefully this shows that the tech wizards in the company will now complete their retreat list in time and cement themselves as battle legends.
