However, the New York Yankees were able to come back against the Boston Red Sox, and in the 10th Josh Donaldson’s walk alone won 5-4.

Judge’s long fly was not only his fourth walk-off home run of the year, but his 61st home run of the season, tying Roger Maris for it. AL record once.

Aaron Judge’s 62nd home run will be worth more than Albert Pujols’ 700th, according to a memorabilia expert.

With Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa surpassing Maris between 1998 and 2001, many consider 61 to be the true record, so all eyes were on Judge in the Bronx.

Judge is a powerful man, but even this time, Memorial Park couldn’t clear the center field wall, which sits 408 feet from home plate.

But he thought all was lost.

Despite his late night, the Gold Glove continued his defense in right field, throwing a perfect seed to run off the bases in the top of the ninth inning to end the Red Sox’s potential lead.

Umpire walked three times in the game and the Red Sox pitchers whistled each time.

It was Donaldson’s third walk of the season and his second against Boston this year. In August, he hit three runs in extra innings and had a walk-off single against Boston on Opening Day.

The Yankees also clinched a spot in the postseason. In the year It’s their sixth straight and 24th in the past 28 seasons, with only 2008, 2013, 2014 and 2016 having missed the postseason.

Judge now has three more games in the Bronx — against Boston — to get 61 and 62 before the Yankees complete a three-game set in Toronto.
