Another analyst has reportedly shared new information about the rumored Switch 2, claiming that Nintendo’s next device will come with an 8-inch LCD screen and arrive at some point in 2024.

This information was shared in a new story by Bloomberg, sourced from Omdia analyst Hiroshi Hayase, who researches on the basis of the company’s supply chains individual “small and medium-sized screens”.

“The Kyoto-based game maker’s new device will be responsible for doubling the supply of entertainment displays in 2024,” Hayase said in Tokyo on Friday.

Again, there’s no official confirmation and a Nintendo spokesperson had nothing to say about this latest report, so there’s definitely no guarantee, but according to Bloomberg it’s a reliable source. The current OLED model system is equipped with a 7-inch screen and has a resolution of 1280 x 720.

This follows an analyst earlier this month who claimed a ‘Switch 2’ model would arrive this year and cost $400. Last year, there were also reports that Sharp was introducing LCD displays for the new console.
