Chicago sky Rookie Angel Reese said she’s looking forward to facing off before Saturday’s WNBA game. Connecticut SunAlyssa Thomas and Brianna Jones, two of whom you watched play at Maryland.

It didn’t take long for her to confront Thomas.

In the third quarter, as Reese was going out for a rebound, Thomas put her arm around the starter’s neck and knocked her hard to the court.

Reese, who was making her first home run since the Sky was picked No. 7 overall out of Louisiana State, grabbed her head and held her back after taking off.

Thomas received 2 fouls and was ejected.

Reese made two free throws and was fouled, but returned for the fourth quarter. She finished the game with 13 points, tying her season best, but was held scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Reese said after the game that she had no hard feelings toward Thomas and didn’t think the Suns’ actions were intentional.

“Because I’m an angel reese or a novice, they shouldn’t be nice to me or sleep.” She said. “Thanks AT for texting us that I got back up and kept going.”

Thomas, a four-time WNBA All-Star, was coming off a streak of double-doubles. She had nine points leaving the game.

Connecticut won 86-82 To improve 5-0.
