It’s a little early, but that’s it Amazon Prime Day deal worthy of note; Apple TV 4K has hit its lowest price ever. There are no 4K media streaming devices out there to choose from, and figuring out which one is the best can be confusing for someone. Let’s just say right away that Apple TV stands at the top of the heap as one of the best, if not the best. the best media streams This goes double if you already own an iPhone or iPad.
$70 off the newest Apple TV 4K
Apple TV has only one disadvantage compared to its competitors, and that is the price. The current Apple TV 4K is normally $179.99 for the 32GB model and $199.99 for the 64GB model. I’m not saying the price isn’t justified, but it’s a hefty price tag when other streaming devices can cost less than $50. Fortunately, today’s agreement makes that less of an issue. Amazon is offering $70 off both the 32GB and 64GB models. That’s a significant 39% off the 32GB model, but better yet, it’s the lowest price we’ve ever seen for a new Apple TV. This is significantly cheaper than what we saw on Black Friday and will be the lowest price until the next Black Friday.
Why is Apple TV such a great media streaming device? For starters, it supports a lot of apps. This includes video apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+, and of course original Apple TV movies and TV shows, as well as music apps like Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, and TIDAL. Apple TV also gives you access to Apple Arcade games that you wouldn’t normally be able to play on a non-Apple device.
The Apple TV hardware is also top shelf. It is powered by an Apple A12 Bionic CPU that can seamlessly handle 4K HDR video coupled with Dolby Atmos audio. You’re not cheating on storage either; even the smaller 32GB model puts other media streamers to shame. For example, the Amazon Fire TV (any model) only has 8GB of storage, the Roku doesn’t include any internal storage, and the NVIDIA Shield Pro comes closest at 16GB.
The current generation model also features a new and improved Siri remote that is superior to the previous generation black remote. Not only is the build quality better, but there are several quality of life improvements, such as a 5-way click pad, mute button, and a dedicated power button that work for your TV, receiver, and Apple TV. They may sound like small improvements, but they make a big difference in terms of comfort and usability.
Finally, setting up Apple TV is very simple, especially if you own an Apple device like an iPhone or iPad. Even better, you won’t need any additional setup to mirror your Apple TV content to your iPhone or iPad, or vice versa. You’ll be able to transfer videos, movies, music, photos and browser content using Apple’s proprietary AirPlay wireless connection. And since the iPhone is the most popular phone on the market right now, it’s safe to say that few people will find this feature extremely practical.
