The first AMD Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs will be available on February 28
AMD has confirmed the launch date and price for the Ryzen 7000X3D series.
The company announced that the flagship 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D will cost the same $699 as the ‘original’ Ryzen 9 7950X 16-core Zen4 at launch. This processor will launch on February 28 alongside the 12-core version, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D. AMD has priced this model at $599, which is $50 more than when the 7900X was launched.
These Ryzen 9 X3D CPUs will be followed by the 8-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D on April 6. According to AMD, this CPU will cost $449, which is actually more than the recently announced Ryzen 9 7900 non-X ($429).
All three processors are equipped with enhanced 3D V-Cache that provides better gaming performance across the stack. The flagship model was demonstrated by AMD beating Intel’s Core i9-13900K 24-core CPU in the game.
The new retail prices for the Ryzen 7000X3D guarantee that the 7000X series will not return to the original price. In fact, all the prices listed below are very low on the retail market (Amazon):
- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X is currently expensive 589 dollars
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900X is currently expensive 419 dollars
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X is expensive right now 345 dollars
All three models come with a Star Wars Jedi Survivor free game code. It is not clear whether the 7000X3D series will also be included in this campaign.
