Anthony Starr, who played Homelander in The Boys, has confirmed that he will not be voicing the character in Mortal Kombat 1.
Mortal Kombat 1, the newest iteration of the popular fighting game franchise, has revealed that the game will be getting DLC featuring some iconic characters from TV and Movies.
Netherealm has already released one of its DLC characters, Omni-Man, and has been hailed for its commitment to the show Invincible, whose deaths have been some of the series’ most memorable moments.

Homelander will be another DLC character, but fans were disappointed to hear that the character will not be voiced by original actor Anthony Starr.

A fan posted a comment on Instagram asking Anthony Starr if he would voice the character and got a direct response: “No.“
Fans were disappointed by the news and wondered who would replace the voice of the actor who became synonymous with the laser-shooting hero.

“My disappointment is beyond measure and my day is ruined,” complained one fan.

“Not to be dramatic, but that’s the most devastating one-word response in human history,” agreed another.
However, other fans still held out hope that Starr would appear in Mortal Kombat 1, claiming that it was possible that people misinterpreted his one-word response.
“People are chasing him for answers about this, I wouldn’t be surprised if he says no just to stop the questions.”
This sad news for fans comes right on the heels of news that DLC character Tremor, the ground ninja, will be released on November 16, confusing players as it comes just a week after Omni-Man.
