The transfer deadline has passed without an official statement from either Chelsea or Benefica regarding the completion of Enzo Fernandez’s move, but we can (probably) be assured that there will be no more shenanigans or spins or anything and the 22-year-old. -old will soon appear in Chelsea blue. But it takes time to get those positions, in the right amount Blue metal.
Social media is a big thing (and Chelsea’s official accounts seem to be getting more and more, much to your chagrin) and we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on Enzo’s announcements, arrivals, etc. As we can.
You have to pay for that somehow!
Chelsea have everything in place in terms of paperwork, agreement, medical and private jet, so there should be no issue with completing the transfer even if there is no announcement before 11pm. #cfc https://t.co/2gDMt85gpX

Speaking of the fee, Benfica confirmed that last night (30 minutes past midnight local time). Chelsea are paying €121m all told. – According to reports, this is divided into a total of six parts, the first of which exceeds the rest by 40 million euros – which includes various provisions related to solidarity payments and 25 percent due to the River Plate. Agreement to sell in the summer.
The €121m (£106.75m) is a new Premier League transfer record, beating Jack Grealish’s £100m move from Aston Villa to Manchester City a few years ago. The most expensive transfer involving a Premier League team was Philippe Coutinho’s still-ridiculous €135+45m (£105+35m at the time) move from Liverpool to Barcelona in January 2018 – the highest paid for Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. €160mStrong he probably didn’t hit all the bonuses.
Anyway, now we just wait for the announcement video, which hopefully will be more Hibs And less Spurcy.
