SANTA CLARA – After three days off, the 49ers will return to their practice facility Monday for an easy afternoon.

After the 49ers’ 31-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Thursday, quarterback Brock Purdy wasn’t ready to turn the page and focus on the team’s Week 13 opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 49ers beat the Seahawks on the road in back-to-back seasons for the first time in franchise history when Purdy threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Ayuck midway through the fourth quarter.

“We won on Thanksgiving,” Purdy said. “We’re excited about it. We’ll take the next couple of days to recover, clear our minds. We’ll get to that next week when we get to the game plan.

“I’m enjoying it now. It is clear that it will be big on the road. We know that. Everyone knows. We’re going to take our time and enjoy this one.”

After practice on Monday, the 49ers have an off day on Tuesday before returning to their regular weekly routine. They practice on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The team is scheduled to travel to Philadelphia on Friday afternoon.

Purdy is away, spending some of his vacation time at Half Moon Bay Daycare with his fiancee, Jenna Brandt. They bought a tree and Christmas accessories, according to their posts on the social network.

The 49ers-Eagles matchup will pit the teams currently atop the NFC playoff picture. The Eagles (10-1) have the best record in the NFL, while the 49ers are currently the No. 2 seed in the NFC with an 8-3 record.

This is a game that has been expected since the 49ers traveled to Philadelphia for the NFC Championship Game and had no chance to compete after Purdy sustained a torn elbow ligament in the first quarter.

The Eagles went 31-7 to advance to the Super Bowl before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 38-35.

While the 49ers faced Philadelphia in the playoffs last season, there may still be some questions about Purdy’s ability to succeed at the highest level.

In his first full season as a rookie, Purdy leads the NFL with a 112.3 passer rating. An average of 9.4 yards per pass attempt leads the NFL in total yards against Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and Houston Texans rookie CJ Stroud.
