NEW YORK – The start of the highly anticipated series between the Dodgers and Mets has been postponed due to rain.

The teams pushed back their originally scheduled 4:10pm ET series opener when thunderstorms began rolling through Queens on Monday afternoon and were expected to continue throughout the evening. That game will be played as part of a one-inning doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 4:10 p.m. The second game will start 30 minutes after the end of the first.

Mets starter Taylor Magill, scheduled to come off the injured list to pitch Monday, will start Game 1 of the doubleheader instead. Jose Quintana will play Game 2.

The Dodgers tweaked their rotation to allow Tyler Glasnow to start the game. Monday’s scheduled starter, Gavin Stone, will play Game 2.

Fans with tickets to Monday’s game cannot use them for Tuesday’s doubleheader, but can exchange tickets for a future game (June 25-26 Subway Series, but includes Tuesday’s doubleheader). Tickets for Tuesday’s first scheduled game at 7:10 pm ET are valid for both games. Full information is available at Mets.com/Rain.
