We will probably get a new announcement regarding the game’s release date soon. Originally announced in May 2021, little has been revealed to satiate fans since then. The last information we received was in September 2023, when series creator Yuji Horii stated that development was “progressing pretty steadily.”
Square Enix has been making liberal use of the HD-2D art style in recent years, with the likes of Octopath Traveler II, Live A Live, and TRIANGLE STRATEGY all showcasing stunning visuals.
