As Americans prepare for Thanksgiving gatherings and trips, flu activity rises across the country, according to updated data. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention It was released on Friday.
The big picture: Flu hospitalization rates are the highest this year in more than a decade — since the 2010-2011 season.
- More than 25 states have “high” or “very high” flu activity, with the worst cases in southern states including Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia.
