FRISCO, Texas – Former Dallas Cowboys And Chicago Bears Running back Marion Barber III died of heat stroke, police said Monday.

In a statement, police in the Dallas Frisco area said Colin County Medical Examiner had determined Barber’s death by accident. A police spokesman did not comment further on the 38-year-old’s death, and the medical examiner’s office did not immediately respond to a statement from the Associated Press.

Police are conducting a charity search on June 1. Barber was found dead In a Frisco apartment that is believed to have been rented.

The former Minnesota’s Golden Gopher A.D. In 2005 there was a fourth round of draft picks in Dallas and he spent six seasons with the Cowboys. He started a game in 2006 and 2007, but had 24 touchdowns. Barber ran for 654 yards and a career-high 14 TDs in 2006.

Barber had a maximum of 975 yards and 10 TDs in 2007, making his only proball. His role and product diminished since then, and in 2010 in Dallas he had a low career with cards, yards and touchdowns. Barber played his final season with Chicago in 2011.
