So much about the Pixel Watch leaked in recent weeks, and now we’re getting a look at Google’s first wearable retail box.
Compared to Apple (and Samsung), Google chooses (Via Reddit) for a long, narrow wrapper (which always reminds me of Ollivanders wands). Rather, it’s a small rectangular box, probably as tall as a clock.
It features a large multi-colored “G” logo, “Google Pixel Watch,” and an angled image of the device with an analog face. You see the case color (Silver, Black or Gold) and the band (Obsidian, Chalk, Hazel or Charcoal). In the lower right corner we see “With Fitbit”. This box leak shows us the Pixel Watch in Silver and Charcoal.
Given the size of the box, Google probably didn’t attach the bands to the watch. This ensures that owners know how to use Google’s special strapping system and may encourage them to buy more. The box will also include a charging cable with a magnetic connector and a USB-C cable.
Meanwhile, this box leak tells us that the Pixel Watch is starting to arrive at retail (and possibly carrier) partners ahead of the announcement. October 6. This suggests that the watches will hit store shelves soon after the launch.
