GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto publisher Take-Two could be preparing the franchise’s sixth main entry for a PS5 release between April 2024 and March 2025, if hints are dropped during the company’s annual earnings report. A press release says the firm is set to release a number of games over the next few years, all of which are “groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry.” Sounds like GTA 6 doesn’t it?

Through these releases, Take-Two expects to “generate more than $8 billion in Net Bookings and more than $1 billion in Adjusted Unencumbered Operating Cash Flow” during fiscal year 2025, and continue to do so over the next year. IGN’s research shows that Take-Two’s annual net bookings total nearly $3 billion, so if the company wants to experience such dramatic growth, it has something big planned for the next few years.

Since FY 2025 sounds like the 12 months when these heavy hitters will actually launch, there’s a good chance GTA 6 will be released before March 2025. CEO Strauss Zelnick talks about the likelihood of Take-Two actually achieving its goals GamesIndustry.biz it’s very achievable, “As you know, we very rarely talk about years. And when we do, it’s because we have a high degree of confidence. It’s a reflection of the pipeline that we’ve been investing in for years. We’re starting to see it come to fruition in the 2018 fiscal year, we’re going to see great success.”
