Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios has temporarily limited concurrent players to 450,000 to help with server stability as it works to “raise the ceiling” and fix other issues surrounding its wildly successful launch.
Arrowhead led Helldivers 2’s Discord sharing the news, he said that he is “working 24 hours a day” to solve the problems faced by the players.
“Hey divers! We’ve been having server issues with simultaneous player jumps this evening,” Arrowhead wrote. “This is causing some mission payouts to fail, some players to jump ship or log out.
“Our team is working around the clock to fix these issues. While we’ve been able to address some of the causes, we’re still struggling to keep up with the scale needed to deploy all of our Helldivers.
“Therefore, we had to increase our number of players to about 450,000 concurrent players to further improve server stability. We will continue to work with our partners to raise the ceiling.
“If you’re having issues with progress, please restart the game to sync things up. Thank you for your continued patience!”
