Prabshmran Singh in action for Punjab Kings in IPL 2023© BCCI

Prabshmran and Sam Curran (20) then steadied the ship with a 72-run partnership off 54 balls.

Ishant Sharma recovered from the first ball for a six and Riley Rossow took it to deep backward square leg to remove Shikhar Dhawan (7) in the next ball.

Following two nine-run overs, Ishant returned to destroy the stumps of Lim Livingstone (4), who paid the price by dancing on the field with Prabshamran away from the strike for a while.

Prabshmran had a good connection when he hit Aksar Patel on reverse for six, but two balls later left-armer Jitesh Sharma (5) looked to play inside out.

Kuldeep Yadav (1/32) and Praveen Dubey (1/19) kept it strong but Prabshmran picked up the odd boundary and turned the strike around to get things moving for the team.

After the 11th over, Prabashmran blasted two consecutive sixes and fours at Mitchell Marsh and started milking for 21 runs.

He completed his fifty off 42 balls in the 13th over before hitting Kuldeep Yadav and Dubey into the stands for two overs.

Curran tried to join the party but failed to clear the ropes as Dubey picked up a wicket. However, there was no stopping Prabshmran as he smoked Kuldeep for a deep square leg six, four inches from his approach to the century.

Reaching triple figures in 61 balls, he reached the milestone by dropping back-to-back fours against KLL.

When Prabshmran finally finds Shop, he is dismissed. Completed by Mukesh Kumar.
