The Eagles selected a wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft Jalen Reagor With the 21st overall pick and Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson 22nd. That proved to be a huge mistake by the Eagles, as Jefferson is a much better player. And Jefferson is thankful the Eagles made that mistake.

Now Jefferson and the Vikings (who now have Regorm, acquired in a trade last month) are preparing to play the Eagles on Monday night. And Jefferson is remembering that draft night when the Eagles passed on him and the Vikings selected him.

“Every mock draft had me going to Philly, so when Philly was on the board, they called and it was Minnesota, it was definitely a shock. But I’m definitely happy — more than happy — to be here any more,” Jefferson said.

He’s looking forward to facing the team he thinks Jefferson will prepare.

“I am very excited. I can’t wait,” said Jefferson.

Eagles fans may be watching in frustration, wondering how different things could have been if the Eagles had made the right selection on draft night two years ago.
