If you think to yourself, “I need something new Legos put on my shelf,” the company has you covered. Along with his newly discovered kit Batman: The Animated Series, a new set of kits for him Super Mario line is in the works.
As part of its March 10 Day celebration (see below), Nintendo has announced that it’s teaming up with Lego again for three new sets. Inspired by the hero’s locomotive in the games, the Bowser Express Train set comes with two carriages and a car in the back, plus a pair of train stations that separately represent Bowser’s castle and the Mushroom Kingdom. Just like in the games, Lego Mario gets on the train by jumping from a ball and onto a wheelbarrow.
King Boo’s Haunted Mansion Lego sees Luigi battling enemies in the estate and unlocking a treasure chest (or sitting in a floating pit). Finally, the Battle set with Roy defends Lego Peach’s castle from the Koopaling and the Chain Chomp Cart with Lego Mario and Lego Toad next to it.
At the very end of the video, he announced that he was working on Lego Mario Kart Kits aiming for release sometime in 2025. Unfortunately, there’s no idea what he looks like, but it’s nice to hear that one of the character’s biggest spinoff franchises will be getting some brick love in the near future. It is expected to be released next year the next Nintendo console—Mario Kart games tend to be released early in a system’s lifecycle, so it’s easy to imagine the next major entry arriving sometime after the new console drops.
