Liverpool will make a late decision on Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlay for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea, according to Pep Legender.

The three players who are most likely to be at Wembley are recent absentees from the club’s squad. Salah and Nunez missed the midweek win at Luton Town with minor muscle problems, while Szbozlay has been sidelined since the end of January with a muscle ailment.

“Dom, Darwin and Mo, we’ll really have to see,” Assistant Chief Legends said.

“We have two more days. Today’s session and tomorrow’s session. We’ll check in at the last minute. If you can be there, it would be great to be honest.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (lateral collateral ligament), Alison Baker (hamstring), Curtis Jones (ankle) and Diogo Jota (medial ligament) are not expected to be fit after the March international break. Thiago, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak and Joel Matip are out injured.

“Curtis has a high ankle strain. He will be (back) around the international break,” Legends added.

“Alli, the muscle injury, after the international break, will definitely take time. Trent, lateral ligament. Jots, middle tendon. Both will be after the international break.

“The good thing we always do in the past is look at what we have. You have to accept what you have and don’t look at what you don’t have. It has brought us success in the past and we will try to continue that. I am very happy about that.

“You get young players and players who haven’t played five games in a row because of a few injuries but now they can be seen. that’s great. This year is the season where we have created three or four new teams in one season, which is a credit to our team and the academy.
