Microsoft announced (opens in new tab) its annual fall on the surface event is next month, on October 12 at 10 a.m. ET. The webpage says “stay tuned to see what’s next,” which could indicate the company’s first live hardware event since 2019.
It is not yet clear whether the event will be held in person with the presence of the press or broadcast live from a closed venue.
On the agenda, we expect to see the new Surface Pro 9, which combines both Intel and ARM configurations under one umbrella, and possibly new colors, including Sapphire (blue) and Forrest (green), along with Graphite and Platinum colorways’ for a while Surface Pro- I was too.
We’re also expecting a new Surface Laptop latest rumours They suggested we’ll only see the Intel variant this fall. It is expected to ship with 12th generation Intel chips, but no other hardware details are known at this time. Given that we can only get the Intel variant, maybe the Laptop update this fall will be the Laptop 4+ instead of the Laptop 5?
Finally, the last big item we expect to see is the new Surface Studio 3 with its accessories. they have already leaked. The Surface Studio update was long overdue with the last one Delivery in 2018 with an outdated Intel 7th generation chip. Hopefully we’ll see a newer Intel chip and NVIDIA GPU in the Surface Studio 3.
Other small devices we may see include a new pair of Surface Headphonespatterned updated Type Cover accessories and Project VolterraThe Windows on ARM devkit was announced earlier this year, but has yet to ship.
It celebrates autumn ten years Surface, so we’ll be interested to see how Microsoft scores. Introducing new Surface Pro colors and The Surface Pro combines the Xi with the basic Surface Pro The line will be a great way to remember the occasion.
We’ll be covering the event live as it happens, so keep it locked to Windows Central in the coming weeks.
