Microsoft Corporation says that it will continue to create new games in popular games Hello franchise in the studio 343 Industries – despite rumors to the contrary. But after a management overhaul, massive layoffs and many big changes, the outfit is starting from scratch.

Redmond, Washington-based 343 Industries has released its latest game, Halo Infinite, released in December 2021 to widespread critical acclaim. it looked like a story of salvation for a title that has suffered numerous delays, endless development problems, and a merry-go-round of creative leaders. But in the following months, fans protested against the game thin road map and the slow rollout of features expected on day one. At the same time, it was shedding 343 employees for weeks and underwent a major management shakeup last fall that left some employees preparing for restructuring.

When Microsoft announced massive layoffs in mid-January and 343 Industries hit hard. According to a spreadsheet of affected employees reviewed by Bloomberg, at least 95 people at the company lost their jobs, though Microsoft declined to provide specific numbers. The roster includes dozens of veterans, including top directors and contractors that the studio has come to rely on. Those temporary workers were given notice days before their contracts were up and asked not to be identified because they are not authorized to speak publicly, according to people familiar with the process.
