High school prospects to lock down scholarships and formally sign national letters of intent began Wednesday as most of the Class of 2023 joined their respective programs as the three-day early signing period began. Ceremonies were held, hats were taken and (many) coaches were smiling as they saw the end of a teenager’s efforts to convince him to make a decision. (Anyone with kids knows how hard that is.)

However, while the first National Signing Day may be over, the recruiting cycle is far from over. Of course, there are top-100 prospects slated to make commitment announcements on Thursday, and National Signing Day in February will wrap up classes for every team in the nation. In between, the teams continue to recruit players from the transfer portal. So, if your school room isn’t where you want it to be, don’t worry. There is still time.
