New Hellblade 2 Sales Data Reveals How Xbox Game Pass and Charts Are Faring

Hellblade II was touted as one of 2024’s biggest exclusives when it launched in May, but overall sales figures have been hard to come by since launch. Now, thanks to Circana’s latest sales data, we have a clearer picture of its performance.

According to Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, Hellblade II was 37th overall in terms of full dollar sales for May 2024 and 21st overall on Xbox Series consoles. Hellblade II did not receive a physical release.

Notably, Hellblade II was initially released on Xbox Game Pass, which revealed in benchmark data that it ranked 12th on Xbox in terms of monthly active users. That puts it behind Fallout 76 on the platform, but ahead of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Apex Legends, and Forza Horizon 5.

Piscatella shared the sales data on X/Twitter because Hellblade II’s performance meant it didn’t appear on any of the major charts. Xbox and Ninja Theory have shared little about Hellblade II’s sales since its initial release, leaving fans to speculate on Steam parallels and other information.
