It appears to be the next big one, according to a new report Torment A game from Id Software and Bethesda will be announced soon. However, this next entry in the popular FPS franchise will not be a traditional sequel, but could instead be a prequel showing the origin of the series’ protagonist, Doomslayer.

On May 24 Insider Gaming informed said he was studying the next game Torment the franchise was scheduled to debut at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9.

This is the same Torment a game previously rumored to exist under the codename “Year Zero”. According to a new report, the last name Doom: Dark Ages, and has been in development for at least four years.

Insider Gaming says it heard “early details” about the still-unconfirmed game last year, which is said to be set in a “medieval-inspired world of Doom.” The publication suggests that the title’s previous codename Year Zero and Dark Ages could indicate that this next entry is more of a prequel or origin story for Doomslayer aka Doomguy, in addition to mentioning the medieval inspiration. That sounds reasonable to me and a fun way to keep the series fresh and different.

last month, some people commented on a little tease from Microsoft reporter Tom Warren is an indication that it is new Torment The game was in the works and will be announced by Xbox During the June screening.

New Torment It seems quite likely that it will be announced as Eternal Torment was released four years ago and is one of Bethesda’s biggest franchises. So no shock that it can be a job. The real question I’m wondering is where is this news Doom: The Dark Agesthe prequel could land. It will be an Xbox and PC release only Starfield? Or Microsoft will continue its multiplatform efforts and bring the next big one Torment A PlayStation 5 sequel too? Looks like we’ll find out in June.
