Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED users can finally play the best game of 2021, or at least the Game of the Year 2021 winner from last year at The Game Awards. As you know, it’s quite common for Nintendo to acquire games after they arrive on other platforms. It takes two is just the latest example from developer Hazelight Studios and publisher EA. After arriving on PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC last year, it finally arrived on Switch yesterday, November 4th.
It takes two debuted on March 26, 2021. Upon release, it received a score of 89 on Metacritic, making it one of the highest-rated games of the year. From launch to July 2022, it has sold more than seven million copies. Now that the game is coming to Switch, that number may be slightly off.
You can read more about the game and check out its trailer below, courtesy of EA:
“Embark on the craziest ride of your life in a genre-bending platform adventure built exclusively for co-op,” the game’s official review reads. “Invite a friend to join for free with Friend’s Pass and work together on a variety of fun game challenges. Play as the clashing couple Cody and May, two people turned into puppets by a magic spell. Together, get trapped in a fantasy world. Where the unexpected lurks around every corner, save their broken relationship. they reluctantly object to.”
The game costs $39.99 on Nintendo Switch, which is how much it costs on other platforms. For that and 9.5 GB of space, you can play the game now. Also, as with other platforms, Friend’s Card, which allows someone else to play with you, is free.
