Nintendo Switch Online subscribers on Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED, or more specifically, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers with the Expansion Pack, just got a free N64 surprise. In addition to adding the first two Mario Party games Porting the Switch Online Expansion Pack library on the N64, Nintendo has introduced free N64 tokens, the first of their kind.
The icons come as part of a new monthly promotion where Nintendo will add new N64 icons for Switch Online for Expansion Pack owners. There is for November Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Maskand Kirby 64 signs. There will be icons in December F-Zero X, Yoshi’s storyand The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The promotion will then end in January Mario kart 64, Paper Marioand Star Fox 64 will feature.

As mentioned, these tokens are locked behind the Expansion Pack tier of the subscription service, which has been the case for all of the free tokens Nintendo has released for Switch users this year. In addition to the free tokens, the Expansion Pack tier only gives access to retro games beyond the SNES and NES. For example, it brings you N64 games. And lately, the focus of the subscription service has been the N64, so now there are N64 badges.
