“And as good as it is, there are some aliasing issues and even some minor framerate drops. Everything about the visual makeup is in line with a really well-made Switch game that Retro had a great experience with. I can imagine that the development studio is going to have people on Switch 2 really happy to connect with
So there you are. While we have no doubts that the game will work on Switch (or at least comparable PC hardware), we thought we’d put everyone’s minds to rest once and for all.
Now, we won’t completely rule out the possibility that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be a cross-generational release similar to Zelda: Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild; the timing will likely line up very closely. But we think it’s a Switch game through and through, for now.
