The Los Angeles Lakers dropped two straight games for the first time in two months and fell into an 0-2 hole as they headed to Los Angeles for games 3-4 in the Western Conference finals. LeBron James appeared to be running on fumes in Game 2 on Thursday and appeared to be rehabilitating a leg he injured late in the game. He is expected to play Saturday, but how effective he is could determine the Lakers’ longevity this postseason.
For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic continued his eye-popping stat lines with another triple-double (23 points, 17 rebounds, 12 assists), his fourth straight game with one. Jamaal Murray looks like a bubble version of himself in 2020, and his performance will be sorely needed for a top seed to advance to the NBA Finals.
