Blizzard has announced the next hero to join the ranks, Null Sector leader Ramattra.
According to the legend, Ramattra is the leader of the Null Sector organization. Like Zenyatta, Ramattra is a Shambly monk who no longer sees the option of peacefully defending the rights of the Omnics, and has now taken a more “pragmatic angle,” according to the Overwatch blog.
“Essentially a war machine, the Ramattra shed its ammunition for a shield to protect its people while promoting peace and tranquility,” Blizzard writes. “But Ramattra’s story is one of hardship, trauma and a magnified view of humanity’s harsh realities.”
While Blizzard only shared a cinematic trailer showing Ramattra’s history and origins, IGN was part of a media roundtable with Overwatch 2 hero designer Alec Dawson, who revealed that Ramattra will have two interchangeable forms.
“He has two forms. He has an Omnic form and a Nemesis form. Part of the skills we’re testing is when to switch between those forms. Because the Omnic form, you’re playing this poke game, you’re protecting your team, it’s a little distance away. Then with the Nemesis form, you can knock enemies down you knock down, you attack it, and you have these punches.”
The leader of the Null Sector is on a mission to create a better world for the Omnics… no matter the cost.
It comes #Overwatch2 Season 2, December 6.

Ramattra will be the fourth new hero introduced since Overwatch 2’s launch, joining Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko. According to Blizzard, the team wants to release either a new map or hero in alternate seasons.
Overwatch 2 is finally live, completely replacing the original Overwatch, although players are still waiting for a story-driven PvE mode.
