These are the challenges for Pokemon Go Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed Timed Research, as well as all the rewards that can be obtained from it.

In conjunction with the Pokemon Go Lunar New Year 2024 event, Niantic released a special Timed Research challenge that trainers can complete during the festivities.

Players will have to complete a series of tasks related to Dragon types, and those who complete them will receive a number of rewards, including an encounter with the newly arrived Drampa.

  • Spin 10 PokeStops or Gyms – Axew Encounter
  • Catch 15 Dragon-type Pokemon – Skrelp Encounter

Awards: 2,000 Stardust, 4,000 XP, 2 Lucky Eggs

  • Power up 5 Dragon-type Pokemon – Gible Encounter
  • Evolve Dragon-type Pokemon – Goomy Encounter
  • Power up 10 Dragon-type Pokemon – Deino Encounter
  • Evolve 3 Dragon-type Pokemon – Jangmo-o Encounter
  • Power up 15 Dragon-type Pokemon – Turtonator Encounter

Awards: 4,000 Stardust, 8,000 XP, Drampa Encounter

Tickets for Pokemon Go Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed Timed Research are $2 or local equivalent.

Trainers can buy tickets and gift them to any Pokemon Go friends who are Big Friends or higher.

Also, be aware that Timed Research challenges and rewards expire. Pokemon Go players must claim all Lunar New Year Timed Research rewards by February 11 at 8:00 PM local time.
