To be honest, we don’t mind listening to singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran every now and then, but it seems not every Pokémon fan feels the same way.

New mod for latest releases Pokémon Scarlet and Violet went so far as to eliminate – yes, removal – Ed’s song ‘Celestial’ from the games. To add insult to injury, it’s probably the first mod ever uploaded to a certain website… wow!

The mod, simply called “Remove Candy”, was tested with Violet, but works just as well with Scarlet. The creator of the ‘CrescentCrossbow’ mod explains how it was modified by Kōji Wada, known for his work on the Digimon soundtrack with Ed.

“Ed Sheera is out and replaced by Wada Koji (may he rest in peace).

“I can’t guarantee it works on Scarlet—it should do, because why do the two versions of the game have different indexed soundtracks? – but I can’t be sure because I don’t have a copy of Scarlet.

In a follow-up comment, the author explains the mod in a bit more detail – noting how Ed’s song “Celestial” features in the game’s credits, and the mod replaces it with “”.the timeless classic Butter-Fly“.
