Refresh [Mon 19th Sep, 2022 09:20]: Publisher Live Wire has shared an update on the disappearance of Radiant Silvergun from the North American eShop.

The company says the game has been pulled from digital storefronts due to “product rating changes” similar to what happened with Mushihimesama last year. Live Wire has submitted the new information to the product board and is awaiting a response, but while admitting that exact dates and times have not been set, it hopes to resume sales on September 20 (PT).

How many of you ran to the eShop and immediately downloaded it? In North America, though, the game has already been removed from the eShop, so you’ll have to be quick.

Hours after the Direct went live, players took to Twitter to express their concerns when they couldn’t find the game on the eShop. The trailer has also been made private or removed from YouTube.

The port’s publisher – Live Wire – issued a very brief statement on Twitter acknowledging the problem, but why it was removed remains a mystery.

“The Radiant Silvergun is not currently available for purchase in North America. We will respond immediately. We will let you know when it is available.”

This isn’t the first time that one of these Live Wire games has been suddenly removed from the eShop. Mushihimesama Shortly after its release on the European eShop last year, it was removed due to an age rating error, but reappeared the following month:

With Radiant Silvergun, some players are reporting several issues with the port, including music not playing correctly, but no official reason has been given for the game’s removal. Fortunately, the game is still available for purchase on Japanese and European e-stores.
