There is Nintendo has officially stopped support for Super Mario Maker 2but there is still a group of passionate fans who take the game to the next level.

One player in particular who never left the last entry was a Nintendo fan and Twitter user @MetroMike64. This talented person went so far as to release Super Mario Bros. 5. Of course, this is all unofficial, but it’s still quite a feat.

“I urge you to clean up your copy of Super Mario Maker 2 and give my Super World a try. I’ve poured a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it over the past 7 years. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I have.”

This project was apparently “7 years” in the making – before the release of the original Super Mario Maker game and features “40 complete courses spread over 8 worlds”. Includes 24 Super Mario World-thematic courses, based on 14 Super Mario Bros. 3 template, 2 courses Super Mario Bros.and it contains “only” retro Super Mario templates.

Metroid Mike 64 describes the game as “classic Mario” with the goal of providing an experience that plays like Nintendo did it. 7 Koopaling are all drawn as end-of-the-world bosses and have multiple world maps with branching paths. The Maker ID code you will need: 0G9-XN4-FNF.
