Mercurial boxer Ryan Garcia’s week added another twist.

A day after announcing on social media that he was “officially retired,” Garcia was suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission. According to ESPN.

Garcia, 25, will have to forfeit the $1 million he won for Golden Boy’s majority decision win over WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney at the Barclays Center in April.

Garcia was fined $10,000 by NYSAC.

ESPN reported in May that the fighter had tested positive for the stimulant drug ostarine both on the day of his fight with Hani.

In May, his B-sample came back positive for PEDs.

Minutes after the news of the suspension broke Thursday, Garcia had a few things to say, including one profanity-laced post.

“F–k you can cry baby bitch,” he wrote in all capitals on a photo of him punching Hani during their April 20 fight.

“They took away their victory from me,” Garcia wrote in another.

Hani posted on X that the ban was “the right thing to do.”

“Thank you to the commission for doing the right thing and making the right decision,” he wrote Thursday afternoon. “I don’t understand how the golden boy can make money as if they took a punch. They didn’t even talk about the PED situation.

“I will return n a year .. I already had all the belts,” he added. “From now on I am fighting at my chosen weight.

Haney added that he felt “cheated”.

Garcia has had a tough few weeks since his victory in Brooklyn after he was arrested in early June for at least $15,000 in property damage at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, California.

Now, it’s unclear when — or if — he’ll fight again.
