Galaxy M13 owners, rejoice! Your smartphone has now started receiving Android 13major One UI 5.0 update. Currently, the update is rolling out for the Galaxy M13 (SM-M135F) across Europe, and we expect it to reach more countries by the end of this month. Samsung is certainly making good on its promise to roll out Android 13 to all eligible phones by the end of 2022.
The Android 13 update for the Galaxy M13 is rolling out with the firmware version in Europe M135FXXU1BVL2. Apart from One UI 5.0, the update also November 2022 security patch this fixes it about four security vulnerabilities. Galaxy M13 Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update: What’s new?
The update brings an updated UI design with an expanded Color Palette feature, Stacked Widgets, improved widgets and larger icons in the notification area. Samsung also improved all stock apps with better design and more features. The OCR feature built into One UI 5.0 can extract text from images stored on the phone or via a live camera feed. This feature can be found in the camera, gallery and keyboard apps. Samsung Internet got improved privacy, performance and new widgets.
The Galaxy M13 also gets improved performance and smoother animations with the Android 13 update. There are different ringtone options for each contact and better multitasking gestures. Bixby Routines have been Named Modes and Routinesand the program has been simplified to make it easier for new users to use. Bixby and Routines got new features. Sleep time mode has been renamed to Sleep mode.
The Settings app has been simplified. Now there is a Connected Devices menu where you can see all the devices connected to your phone. The Privacy and Security sections have been combined into a single section. The camera app has been streamlined and offers easier ways to zoom in and start recording videos. It also got watermark option, updated Single Shot and zoom support in Food mode.
Stories have been improved and filters are now easily customizable. Enhanced with built-in photo and video editors One UI 5.0. You can edit GIFs more easily, draw perfect shapes on photos, create stickers from any image, save portrait mode even after editing a photo, and add more stickers to photos and videos. The app notifies you when you share photos that contain personal information like a phone number, email ID or credit card number and allows you to blur that part of the photo when sharing it with others.
Samsung keyboard now has more emoji, AR emojis, animated emoji pairs and kaomojis. You can customize the space row layout of the Samsung Keyboard. Android 13 brings opt-in notifications, meaning any new app you install must get your permission before sending you a notification. Notification layout control has also been improved. There are language settings, Do Not Disturb exclusions and RAM Plus customizations for each app.
