Skull and Bones may be the most failed project in gaming history. It has suffered countless delays, any game that has been released has been elusive, and there is reportedly a noose around the project, courtesy of the Singaporean government.
A short set of images recently leaked on Reddit, with the poster claiming to reveal the “current state” of Ubisoft’s live-action pirate saga, Skull and Bones. It’s been five months since the new game was released by Ubisoft, and once again it looks like the game could be delayed – or a cancellation deal could be agreed upon.
The skull and bones must sink
At this point, it seems strange to believe that Skull and Bones will ever be released, and if it is, there is almost no expectation that it will launch in any decent way. It’s been in development for several years, and during that time, almost no one — critics, fans, or otherwise — has had anything hopeful to say about the game.
According to information, the “Skull and Bones” project is only kept alive according to the old contract Between Ubisoft Singapore and the Government of Singapore.
In the latest images Skull and Bones, which was allegedly leaked from within the project, appears in the latest game updates published in January 2023. It does not appear that the expected big leaps have been made.
Recently, Ubisoft decided to triple its resources for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, hiring hundreds of developers and focusing heavily on what could be considered its flagship franchise. As we know, Skull and Bones doesn’t introduce anything new to cross the finish line.
People were sick of Skull and Bones years ago – now they’re completely sick of it. Even if it does start, we can’t see much support for gaming with the lights on, and reception will be almost entirely poor.
