Skyrim reborn together

I know there have been many attempts to release multiplayer mods Skyrim over the years, but none have been as ambitious as the co-op mode Skyrim reborn togetheraim to run between 2-8 players in the same game, complete the same tasks and fight the same monsters.

Years in the making, the mod was released last week. And while there is no teething problem—you can read some of them here— works for the most part, allowing players to jump into the same world and synchronize all of their actions and progress.

To see what it looks like in action, here’s a video the development team released earlier in the year, showing five players taking on several story missions:

If you want to try it yourself, the team has also uploaded this handy video that shows you how to set up the mod, followed by how to run it (it’s a lot easier than I thought, especially the last one, because all you have to do is wait for the login to finish, then connect to the server is to click the “connect” button):

At the time of shipping, the developers say that you ideally want to try this with 2-8 players. But there is more to it than that. Here’s another video from earlier in the year, showing a stress test with 25+ players on the same map at the same time (the devs have since said you can get 30+ if you really push it):

You’ll need the latest versions of both if you want to install the mod Special edition or Anniversary editionafter Click here to download.
