Update: Nintendo of America has confirmed that the game will be coming to Switch Online locally this December.


Original: Well, here’s some surprising news! Nintendo has announced that its Switch Online + Expansion Service will add Nintendo 64 title Jet Force Gemini.

Unfortunately, there’s no mention of a Western release yet, but an update is likely on the way. What we do know is that Jet Force Gemini will be added to the Japanese N64 library November 30 Along with GoldenEye 007.

Jet Force Gemini was a 1999 third-person shooter starring Juno, Vela, and Lupus, who must end the insectoid menace. This title was developed by the genius at Rare, also known for GoldenEye 007 (now available locally for Switch Online) and many other N64 classics.

This release marks the first time that Jet Force Gemini is available on one of Nintendo’s digital platforms or services. It has been shown before A rare repeat Collection and additional dual analog support for Xbox One.
