It seems so Grand Theft Auto publisher Take two trying to escape the indie label, Private section. This is according to a new information IGN report it details how the company has been in recent times closure of studios and mismanagement is “quietly killing” the indie publisher.
according to IGNMost of Private Division’s staff were laid off at the end of April, leaving only a small team to support titles already announced under the label, such as Moon Studio’s Early Access game. While it sounds like Private Division is on the verge of shutting down, Take-Two intends to sell the indie label and the studios under it. IGN informs that Paradox Interactivethe publisher behind strategy games like StellarisIt was in talks to acquire the Intercept, but has since fallen through.
As for the Private Sector itself, there is some interest from a private equity firm. These conversations were reportedly conducted by people affiliated with Moon Studios. It was a studio theme 2022 report claims to be an “oppressive” workplace. Speaking sources IGN the report said everything was “true and worse”. The relationship has those at Private Division worried about the indie label’s uncertain future.
