This video from TikTok below does a great job of showing a software issue with the iPhone 14 Pro’s camera module shaking. posted by TikTok user Damian Munoz Saturday:

Currently, it appears that this issue only affects the iPhone 14 Pro camera when it is used in a third-party app. Most of the complaints on social media report that the issue occurs with social media apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram.

Since this iPhone 14 Pro camera shake/stutter issue only affects the camera in third-party apps, it’s almost a software bug. Most likely, these third-party apps are not designed for iPhone 14 Pro camera modifications. In particular, it could be something to do with optical image stabilization, hence the rattling noises made by the camera module itself.

There is currently no solution to this problem. Affected apps like Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok will likely have to roll out updates to their respective apps to fix the problem.
