What to look for in Apple iPhone Games

The Apple App Store has millions of apps and games, so starting with just one to play can be daunting. While lists of the most popular games — free or paid — are a good place to start, there are some other factors you should consider before hitting download. What to look for in Apple iPhone games.

First of all, if you have a very old iPhone, you should check if it is compatible with mobile gaming. Most games require the iPhone to be running at least iOS 8 or higher – which is compatible with the Apple iPhone 4S or higher. This iPhone model was released in October 2011, so any prior iPhone release will not be compatible with these games.

You should also be aware of how much space you have on your iPhone. The file size for mobile games can range from several hundred megabytes to around 20 GB, so if your smartphone doesn’t have enough space, it won’t fully download to your device. If so, you may want to consider uninstalling a few apps to free up space, getting a new iPhone with a larger storage capacity, or downloading a whole new game.

Then you have to consider the price. Although there are many free games, free game does not mean completely free. Many of these free games offer in-app purchases for upgrades. For example, in the game Royal match, you have a limited number of lives to play, when you lose a life you have to wait 30 minutes to get it back. However, if you pay, you can unlock the app to get more lives.

Unfortunately, the same can be said for paid play. Just because you have to pay for an app first doesn’t mean additional in-app purchases aren’t available. However, if the mobile game is expensive, then the unlocked version is most likely to be downloaded on the iPhone.

In addition, you can also purchase a subscription Apple Arcade for $5 a month. Unlock all available iOS games without in-app purchases to play on iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Apple TV. If you’re an avid mobile gamer, this is the way to go.

The last thing you need to focus on an Apple iPhone game is that it looks fun to play. If the game seems too fun or challenging, then click on download and immerse yourself in a whole new universe and experience.
