“Marvel vs. Capcom” fans of the game franchise have reacted angrily to the recently announced “Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection” which, along with the others, will not be coming to Xbox.

The collection was announced during Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct and will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC – but there’s been no indication of Microsoft consoles so far.

It’s unclear why Capcom didn’t release this on Xbox, but it follows from the numerous titles announced during the Summer Game Fest events that confirmed they’re skipping the Xbox platform as well.

Both then and after the announcement, the hashtag ‘No Xbox’ trended. As users have pointed out, previous Capcom collections have always been on Xbox, so why is this different, they ask?

Another collection of Capcom titles, Ace Attorney, has also been announced and is coming to Xbox.

The Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection will include the following six games: X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes vs. X-Men Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes”, “Marvel vs. Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes” and “The Punisher”.

The collection should be released on their respective platforms in the fall.
