PHOENIX (AP) — Minnesota coach Chris Finch was helped on the court by the Phoenix Suns Sunday night after a collision with Timberwolves guard Mike Conley late in the fourth quarter.

Conley was trying to dribble down the sideline when he collided with Sus star Devin Booker and ran into Finch, who appeared to hurt his right knee as Conley tried to support their fall. Finch gasped and immediately grabbed his right knee.

Surrounded by Minnesota players, coaches and staff, he was down for a few minutes before being helped off the court.

Minnesota won the first round series with a 122-116 victory.

Assistant coach Micah Norrie led the team to the final 1:41. Norry Finch said he was in the treatment room and the team went down to check on him after the game.

“He’s obviously in good spirits, and so are the guys,” Nori said.

Conley said he didn’t see Finch until the last minute and tried to catch him after the fight. The veteran guard couldn’t help but crack a joke at his coach’s expense after the Game 4 victory.

“I told him to put his (bat) down — he shouldn’t be sitting like that late in the game,” Conley said. “He’s on the way. But pray for him, I’m sure he’ll be fine.”
