The pace didn’t dip in seconds, with each fighter getting his tongue in, but as the round progressed, Goff appeared to have plenty of gas left in the tank. Waters refused to back down, and with a minute to go, he delivered in a standing guillotine that brought Goff some exciting moments before more back-and-forth action in the final seconds.
Goff got Water into the fence early in the third and looked for a takedown, but after the momentum slowed, Stewart resumed the fight with just over two minutes remaining. The pair then patiently picked up their shots until the final 30 seconds, each trying to finish with one shot as the slog continued.
