Wake Forest’s already depleted secondary suffered another significant loss against Clemson on Saturday.

Starting cornerback Caelen CarsonThe Devils’ top cornerback, Deacon, is out for Saturday’s game against the Tigers and will be considered week-to-week, a source told ESPN. He suffered a leg injury in the third quarter of last week’s game against Liberty and missed the rest of the game.

This is another shot at Wake Forest’s secondary, as Kobe DavisNickelback, who started the season with an injury against Vanderbilt, could be sidelined for the rest of the year. Davis’ replacement at Nickel, Brendan Harris, was also injured in the Liberty game, he injured his arm. Harris is week-to-week.

That would be a setback for Wake Forest, which hasn’t beaten Clemson since 2008. The Tigers have won the last four meetings by an average of 38.5 points per game.

The Demon Deacons will face a Clemson team with a formidable interior defensive line. Both the Clemson defense Brian Bracey (personal reasons) and Tyler Davis (Injuries) are coming back.
