After a dramatic start to the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, when Kevin Magnussen and Daniel Ricciardo collided, the race’s restart caused further controversy with 2021 title rivals Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton opening their wheels.

The leaders went down to the pit straight to Senna Ezes and Verstappen went to move outside of Hamilton, but Red Bull and Mercedes collided at the top of Turn 2, sending both drivers down the order.

A few minutes later Lando Norris collided with Charles Leclerc as the McLaren jumped the corners at Turn 6 and went into the side of the Ferrari before going into the barriers on the outside of the corner.

Norris found himself fourth after an incident with Gon Leclerc, while Hamilton started to recover from a lowly 10th place, while Verstappen was stuck in 17th after a new nose dive – the stewards opted to give the Dutchman five seconds. punishment for the act, and Norris the same punishment.
