DENVER – A day after the Minnesota Wild traded draft pick Brandon Duhaimin to the Colorado Avalanche, they traded Pat Marron to the Boston Bruins for a conditional sixth-round draft pick and forward. Luke Toporowski, the teams announced Friday. Toporowski is being assigned to Iowa of the AHL. The only time the Maroons have played in the playoffs is the only time the Maroons get wild in the draft.

Maroon is at number 18. The athleticsRecent Board of Trade.

Maroon knows a thing or two about adjusting to a new team — he’s being sent to his seventh NHL organization in 13 NHL seasons — which should bring some comfort to the Bruins. Impact is measured by more than goals, points or minutes played as a cultural figure. And he’s been up and down on some dimensions on a Wild team.

However, Maroon underwent back surgery in early February and just recently started light skating. He is believed to be ready to make his debut for Boston later this month.

Throughout the year, the man with the playoff beard appeared in 150 regular season games and lifted the Stanley Cup on three separate occasions.

Maroon has four goals and 16 points in 49 games this season. In 778 regular season games, Maroon scored 121 goals and 304 points. The Wild are in danger of missing the playoffs for just the second time in the last 12 years. They are sixth in the Central Division with 66 points from 63 games.

Maroon gives the Bruins much-needed bottom-six depth on the left side. Danton Hayne is currently the number 2 left winger. James van Riemsdyk is the third line left winger. Once cleared to play after back surgery, Maroon projects to join Jakub Laku at No.4 left wing.

The game-tested Maron is not as fast as Lauko. But it brings experience and weight. Should be a nice addition to the team chemistry.

Shattenkirk approved the acquisition

Kevin Shattenkirk is a fan of Pat Maron. The two won the Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2019-20. Marron had 6 goals and 14 assists in 64 games that season. He added six points in 25 playoff games.

“He’s the guy you want on your team, on and off the ice,” Shattenkirk said. “Great personality in the locker room. A great voice in the locker room that knows when to add some serious talk and when it’s time to shut up. He clearly knew it was time to lighten up the room a bit. The experience is obviously great. He knows how to play this year and make the playoffs.
